PAST EVENT · 15 OCTOBER 2026
On Thursday, 15 October 2026, The VFX Circle officially launched at Vega School at Emeris in Sandton, with guests joining us in the room and online.
Our founder, Nono Mofokeng, opened the evening with the welcome address. Eugen Olsen, Founder and Creative Director of Alpha VFX, then led our first workshop, What is VFX?, before HRH Prince Vusi Dlamini Sr. of Improx Group International, our official partner, gave the closing address. We also paused to remember Gerhard Painter.
The room brought together producers, directors, post supervisors, VFX professionals, editors and post-production creatives, alongside members of the press. It was a beautiful night of networking: guests met new clients and sealed deals on the evening, and since the launch we’ve already heard of a job offer and a new business relationship that began that night.
Thank you to our partners who made it possible: Improx Group International, our official partner, Hollard Film Guarantors, Mushroom Media, Vega School at Emeris and SAE Institute.
